AreaLiaison Page

The Area Liaison serves as a conduit between Worcester Area Intergroup and Area 30. The Area liaison attends both Area 30 committee and WAI meetings to share information with each group. Area 30 and WAI meetings are hybrid and can be attended in-person or via Zoom, and the meeting minutes can be used to report about each meeting.

As a member of the Area 30 committee, the Area Liaison represents WAI»s conscience and vote at Area 30 committee meetings. The Area Liaison serves as a 2-way communications channel between Area 30 and WAI in service to the local AA community.

The GSO document Intergroups or Central Office Guidelines further describes the role of Intergroups/Central Offices. A liaison typically serves for a 2-year term.

Refer to the Area 30 website, aaEmass.org for information about the Area 30 liaison position.
