The WAI secretary is responsible for recording and distributing the committee meeting agenda and minutes. The secretaryis an officer, along with the Chairperson and Treasurer and a member of the Steering Committee. The Alternate Secretary fulfills the role of the Secretary in their absence.

The secretary maintains a roster of members’ contact information, in coordination with the Registrar. The secretary is primarily responsible for recording all motions and votes on committee matters including election voting results.
